Breast cancer can be a very lonely place.

Join me on instagram, and join our tribe of incredible breast cancer survivors.

The power of instagram.

Breast cancer can be a very lonely place.

It’s a journey where you are surrounded by people; doctors, nurses, friends and family and yet in some way you still feel so very alone.

There’s just that part of it that those people cannot understand.

The hell we endure with chemo needles, losing our hair and having a part of our body cut away…that is a hell we go through on our own.

But instagram opened a secret door to a tribe of kindred souls.

It connected me to my breast cancer sisters, the ones who know and feel everything I have been through.

The ones who just get it because they have lived the same hell as me.

I feel part of something sacred, and beautiful, heart breaking and meaningful.

It doesn’t matter where in the world we are from, whether we are posh or working class, young or old, trendy or conservative.

We all went through cancer and that commonality goes way deeper than all those superficial layers.

Rachael Bland died yesterday and it broke our hearts, our tribe got hit hard and we are all feeling fragile.

Most of all we know that It could happen to any one of us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We all have the same dread and fear that the cancer could one day come back.

But know this, I am here in solidarity and camaraderie with each and every one of you.

None of us are alone, we are a tribe, we are together.

I feel the same sadness, and I feel the same fear.

We survived, we are still here and in honour of Rachael Bland we must go on and enjoy every precious moment we have.

I am sending so much love & light to you all kindred sisters.
