Today I’d like to talk about Tits and ears.

Updated: Dec 24, 2019

My tits and my French Bulldog, Barnaby's ear.

Today I’d like to talk about Barnaby’s ear.

Barnaby is my French Bulldog.

And French Bulldogs are renowned for their huge bat-like ears.

Barnaby’s ears were perfect.

Then he got into a rumble with another dog and the tip of one of his ears went missing 🤦‍♀️

And now his ears are no longer perfect.

But he is still perfect to me.

And this got me thinking about my breasts.

How incredibly imperfect I felt after my single mastectomy.

I was damaged, a part of my body was gone.

But unlike Barnaby I didn’t look at myself with unconditional love.

I didn’t see that even though I was damaged I was still perfect.

Why do we do that?

Why are we so willing to see perfection in the damage of someone we love?

But are unable to do the same for ourselves?

Because we don’t love ourselves enough.

And that’s where we should be focusing more of our time and attention.

Learning to love ourselves and see our perfection no matter what.

Barnaby has a wonky ear and I don’t love him any less.

I have wonky tits and I don’t love myself any less.

You get my drift?
